We'll be re-opening our doors on 4 November with the new opening times of Thursday, Friday, Saturday 12-5.
Exhibition: FICTIONAL DEVICES. This group exhibition features an eclectic collection of artefacts from another time. The artists involved are Robert Gatt, Freya Marriott and Dean Canham. Please note there will be no launch event for this exhibition.
Our first author event for November is Mark Smith in conversation with Jock Serong. Mark will
be talking about his latest book, If Not Us.
Mark Smith is an award-wining author. He lives, works and surfs on Victoria’s Surf Coast. The first book in his acclaimed Winter trilogy, The Road to Winter, is taught in secondary schools and loved by readers of all ages, and Wilder Country, the second book of the trilogy, won the 2018 Indie Book of the Year for Young Adults. His brand new book, If Not Us, is another young adult book - an impassioned plea for climate-change action that will inspire and empower readers of all ages.
You can find a little preview video about Mark's book HERE.
Jock Serong deserves our loudest applause for winning the $50,000 ARA Historical Novel prize for his fifth book, The Burning Island. (You can read the article about this win HERE and read more about Jock and his writing at his website HERE). At this event, Jock and Mark will talk books and writing (and possibly a bit of surfing).
